December Tip: Reusable Wrapping!
Happy Holidays everyone!
We had the delightful experience of participating, first-hand, with our church's "Alternative Christmas Market" this past Sunday. The Green Team hosted a free, reusable material wrapping table. We had a blast! People really gravitated to the reusable and cute options we provided.
I was inspired (and motivated) to put away any other tip this month and encourage you to do this simple, and very economically sound wrapping choice!
Here are some tips on how YOU can be more Eco-friendly with your wrapping choice this season!
-Looking around your home, do you have extra fabric laying around? Use it for a more unique ribbon choice. Just cut, rip, and wrap.
-Do you have brown bags or extra gift bags laying around? Cut them out until they are flat and use them as your wrapping paper. Make sure to use strong tape; those bags can be pretty tough.
-This is my favorite part, decorating! Do you have stamps, markers, crayons, stickers? Really anything you want to decorate the wrapping paper with use it. It's fun and personable.
Here's a fun idea: http://www.adelle.com.au/potato-stamp-christmas-cards/
-Make sure to use your extra tissue paper for those delicate gifts (i.e. jewelry). Simply wrap the tissue around and use the fabric you cut and, poof, you have a unique wrapping design!
There really are TONS of options to use for your gifting wrapping adventures. The key is to use what you already have! Having fun with, and remember, you don't have to use traditional Christmas colors. Keep it simple! Being "green" is often times just conserving and using what you have, what better time to do this then the holidays?
We really hope this has inspired you to be more innovative with your gift wrapping!
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa!!!!!
and....have a Happy "GREEN" New Year!

You're adorable :)
And you're one of the only people I know who can make wrapping with old newspapers incredibly stylish and cute. Love those bows! Merry Christmas!
